Day 18 - See ya later!

Blog 8 - Last one...
Hi friends and strangers, I regret to inform you that I will no longer be blogging here. Thank you for all your visits, positive and negative feedback and the support. I wish all of you the best! If you don't know me personally, feel free to like my Facebook page, Spread the Aggie Honor Code Worldwide and connect with me there. Or, you can leave a comment here.

This will be the last post on my blog here at blogspot.com. I will most likely start another one later. I want to thank the people that visited and gave me the 1300 plus page visits I received in the short time that I blogged. I have shared some things about me and I definitely do not regret it. I am disgusted as to how Google has treated me as I blogged through them thinking I could earn some extra cash with blogging. They said I do not qualify for their advertisement program, AdSense. I can understand that my blog is too general to target a certain marketing circle but they could have at least let me try. What do they lose in letting me make money through advertisement? Nothing. They would lose nothing and yet they still didn't give me a chance. I would like to add that through Google Chrome the word "positivity" is underlined as misspelled. That is NUTS!!! How is positivity not a word to Google? Google used to be one of my favorite companies but now I know they're not as great as they could be... Google, I will continue to use you and your services but now I will be more careful about what I share through you. God bless!

The Positivity Blog will have a new home. I will continue to spread positivity with my actions. I love all my friends and family and can't wait to make new friends in this never-ending journey I call LIFE. :)

Day 12 - Being an Aggie! :)

Blog 7

Today, I have been inspired to write about my beloved university! It's hard to put into words how amazing my college experience was thanks to how Texas A&M functions. I met some amazing friends that I'll never forget! I traveled to amazing places that I'll have in my heart forever. All that has inspired me to be a positive impact to our world!

We have our own wikipedia page, The Spirit of Aggieland to help explain our alma mater.

This blog post isn't about bragging about Texas A&M at all though. This blog is about trying to explain The Aggie Spirit and to inspire people to pursue higher education. We have a saying that says "From the outside looking in, you can't understand it. And from the inside looking out, you can't explain it." That statement is so true. I'm at a loss of words when it comes to talking about Texas A&M. Johnny Football's Heisman acceptance speech made me cry. It was amazing to watch such an amazing Redshirt Freshman explain how blessed he is to be a part of Aggie History.

I want to compare our spirit, The Spirit of Aggieland to the Holy spirit. They're both positive and impacting! My Aggie pride and spirit will never die just as my faith in my Holy God will never die.

A while back, I had an idea to spread our honor code worldwide. I truly believe that if all people follow our code of conduct, we will have a happy universe. Here is the page Spread the Aggie Honor Code Worldwide The code is "An Aggie does not lie, cheat or steal, or tolerate those who do" If you believe that will change the world in a positive way, go ahead and like it! :)

There's an aura about Aggieland that just makes that place seem surreal. It's a little piece of heaven on Earth. Of course, there are some bad things that happen there, but overall being in Aggieland feels liberating and energizing. Our campus demonstrates excellence. I believe no other place on Earth is as welcoming and beautiful as my University.

I called Aggieland "home" for a glorious 8 years! I hope to return one day. I'll be back to stay soon! :)

Day 10 - Happiness

(As always, if you're new to The Positivity Blog, I recommend you start with Day 1 :)

Throughout my life, I've always been asked: "How are you always so positive?"

My answer: I don't know, I just am. ( I actually do know exactly why but don't want to get too far into it.)

There are definitely tough days but then the day is over. I have a pretty good idea as to why I'm so happy and positive. I love ME! I guess that's the answer people want to hear. I'm happy because I love myself. The more you get to know yourself, the more you know what you like and what you want. Then, the more you surround yourself with those things, the happier you are.

Seems easy huh?

Nothing is really that easy though. Happiness is a long journey. The fact of the matter is that your happiness depends on your stress and sadness levels. Your relationships with others is also key. The less stress and sadness you have the happier you are. The more you surround yourself with happy and positive people the happier you are as well. True or false?

So really, the question that people are asking me is  "How are you not stressed or sad?" My answer to that is easy: "I have faith in my God Almighty." I have faith is a powerful phrase. How can people have faith in a God or a supreme being when they can't really see that God? God isn't really seen but He is definitely felt. Have you ever felt that God is moving you and your life in every little moment of your day? If you have, then I'm happy for you!! I am with you. I have felt that before :)

I guess my happiness, as well as your happiness, goes back a long way. I thank my ancestors from passed generations for my present day happiness. America's founding fathers said we had the "Right to Life, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness." That phrase is amazing. All Americans already have life and liberty. Today, the problem is finding happiness.

Happiness, to me, is easy because I know what I like and don't like.

I taught for a couple of months and I found it interesting how teachers used a lot acronyms in the curriculum and the planning sectors.

Today, I want to make an acronym out of Happy.

H - onesty
A - mor (love in spanish)
P - eace
P - ositivity
Y- ou

I think those are all elements to everyone's happiness... If you have others that are necessary, please feel free to share. Spread happiness and joy to the world. Peace on Earth is possible and it all starts with a SMILE :)

Day 8 - Doggies

Today I will talk about my doggy, my fury child, Gunther! He's been a joy to have and raise. He's 9 years old and he's really fun!

He has a heart on his back :)

Why am I talking about my doggy you might ask? Because this is The Positivity Blog and I LOVE animals! All kinds!. There is so much positivity in human and animal interaction. Did you have pets as a child? I remember having crabs, fish, birds and doggies. They helped me mature and taught me responsibility. They were very influential in my upbringing. If you have kids, I suggest you get them a pet. Maybe start with something small like a bird.

Thank you so much for reading and returning. My goal is to post sooomething every day. We'll see if that's possible. I've posted some pics from Gunther's life. I've also included one of our boxer, Tequila. Sadly, we had to put her down in June of 2012 but she will forever be in our hearts. Tequila and Gunther were life buddies. We got them together and they were inseparable. That's the beauty of pets; they will always be in our hearts regardless of how much time they warmed our lives here on Earth. Get pets! Save pets! Our pets love us unconditionally!!! :)

Day 3

Actually, Day 2 but who's counting, really....(If you haven't read Day 1, I suggest starting there)

They say 3rd time's the charm, right? THIRD BLOG. Today I am going to be introducing a TITLE....

"Last night I was afraid to fall asleep, but then I dreamt about you!"

Did that title make you think a little?

If so, great! You might have also thought I was weird. That's okay. Weird is good. Today, I am confessing something - I am "crazy!"

And I am proud of it. My nickname is - Monikrazy!!! I think that moniker was initially coined by my very good friend and teammate, Rebecca D. A quite brilliant person I might add!

Back to my title and my dream last night. Molly Cox! A big name, I think. I saw you at Tedx San Antonio and was completely stunned by you! I AM A FAN! Your comedy, your nature and your smile moved me. I remember the drum guy too but his name is not important right now. Right now, I need you, Molly Cox. Your title is something about social stuff, right? Anyway, you were in my dream but I really can't explain it! It had to do with twitter, planes and surprises by your loved ones. Now, I have an idea about where movies like INCEPTION come from! People like us! DREAMERS!  Do you believe in my idea of The Positivity Blog now? All I need, is enough big names to believe in this ONE idea! Molly, do I have your attention? Ok... I need your help! Please post about my blog. And email me at monikalm17@gmail.com. I'd love to chat with you today if possible! :) Ok, back to reality......

HOT TOPIC (not the store) of today...... MENTAL HEALTH!!!!

I'm going to keep this short and sweet because I really don't want to overwhelm. I just want to be heard. Then to share ideas.

Ok, I am super passionate about this mental health issue floating around! Why? Because I went through "crazy" in High School. Thanks to the love and support of My Mom, My Principal (Dr. Flieger), My Family (EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU) and My Coach (Coach Hearn) I am here today! POSITIVE!! I went through "crazy" with not a lot of negative effects. I didn't go to jail, I didn't harm anyone and I hope I didn't traumatize anyone. It was hard but I OVERCAME IT! I am not afraid of "crazy." There aren't many people who know about that part of my life because I don't talk about it. It was negative. It was sparked by lack of sleep, fyi...  (If you're not sleeping well, you have a problem and should seek help.) This is The Positivty Blog. If you personally know me and remember that time in my life and want to comment about it, I'd love to hear from you because I was not in my right mind and do not remember it quite well. If you went to High School with me, you might not even know about it. I was really sheltered during that week of my life and tried to stay low key... It was one of the toughest times in my life.

Soo... that's my "Crazy" Story. That is one of my biggest secrets. Thanks again to everyone that helped me overcome it the HEALTHY and Positive way(long story)!!!!

Why am I putting crazy in quotes? Do people really know what crazy is? Is there really a normal? As an Aggie, I am part of a rivalry against tu. That rivalry is peaceful and positive. I have a lot of Longhorn friends. Y'all know I love y'all (Lyli lol)! BUT I love Austin's slogan "Keep Austin weird." I hate how College Station prides itself on being "normal". What is "normal"?

I believe there is good crazy and bad crazy........... Bad crazy starts when someone holds on to a "bad" idea. Good crazy starts when someone holds on to a good idea. That's it and that's all! (Susy G) I will never let go of my "good" idea! My idea of The Positivty Blog! I need your help as well! If you like my thoughts, thank you! If you have input, comment. If you want to spark curiosity simply SHARE it. You can click the share button on Facebook.... then twitter (I don't know much about this yet, though!) That's where I hope Molly Cox comes in handy! @themollycox I hope that gets you some followers!! :) or maybe even @oprah or @rosie or heck, maybe even @TheEllenShow !!!

Heck! Why not? Why not @barackobama or @pontifex !?

GOD BLESS YOU ALL! God bless the world!!! God bless, San Antonio, TX, College Station, TX and Eagle Pass, TX! :) I believe in the balance of the UNIVERSE as well!! :)

There is a difference between an obsession and passion. Positivity is my Passion. I am not crazy, I am an entrepreneur. My website host says that 200 views the first day and 600 views the second is pretty good so they have faith and me. I'm excited! :)

Bloggers, how many hits did you get in your first days? I am a scientist first! I am all about numbers! :) NUMBAS DONT LIE! (TR Roots) holla!

Day 2

200 views in a day! I like where this is going!! Thank you for coming back. If you're new, I suggest you start with Day 1 because it's more inspiring. Since this is about positivty and taking action, today I will talk about 2 actions; starting my blog and working out. I am literally addicted to blogging now. I need to be careful, addictions are bad :)

Let's start with my workout, 1 hour at AquaFitness!

If you personally know me, you might have chuckled. And asked "What is a rugby player doing with a bunch of old people in a pool during winter?" But, yes, a 26 year old rugby player goes to AquaFitness classes at the exquisite gym that is Gold's Gym! (shoutout because I applied there haha) And OLD PEOPLE ARE AWESOME! Anyway, the story as to why I go to these classes is pretty funny now, actually. I will not focus on that, though. I want to focus on the power of working out. It is healthy, right Ann? Good health comes with positivity. I'm going to get a little complicated...

Let's start by saying "I 'hated' swimming." I did. I am an athlete. It wasn't a workout to me. It was just something "fun". You just splash around, get wet and have a good time. I would tell myself "How can a workout be fun?" Well, IT CAN! Since this is The Positvity Blog, I also need to talk about hate.

What is hate?

I recently heard that people use the word hate to express what you feel towards something that is not useful to you. I believe that is true! BUT! Hate can be changed to love! I NOW LOVE SWIMMING! I go to AquaFitness maybe twice a week now on a good week. The people there are amazing! Beth is a great instructor who teaches me a lot and the moments with those people are amazing. I could go on and on about those moments, but that would take up too much of your time. I don't want to do that.

The change from hate to love is a struggle, but that is what the world needs. We need people willing to walk that struggle. I don't want to make this blog too complicated yet but the reality is that I used to hate swimming and now I love it. So... moral of that action and reflection was to keep an open mind. Anything is possible! I believe world peace is possible! That is my dream...

Ok... back to reality.

BLOGGING! I did not know about the power of blogging until recently! I follow some blogs but I didn't realize their potential or even realize they were blogs lol! My brother in law really inspired me to write with his blog cowboyperez.blogspot.com. Check it out if you want to read about doggies :) My sister is my inspiration in writing. She has always been really passionate about what she does and she has even been published in the Huffington Post! I personally know a guy with a very successful blog, http://thepractitionerd.com/.

So, blogging allows you to write without having to go through the hassles of being published! I learned this from an amazing writer with an amazing book "Freedom is blogging in your Underwear" which I read in an hour! Great message!

Ok, done. 2 Actions today! Yesterdays thoughts, caused these actions that then caused these reflections. What are your thoughts? Positive? Like it?

That is also something I want to promote; asking questions :)  Some people have been hesitant already... but I AM REAL! :)

Special shoutout to my middle school coach, 'teacher' and mentor, Ryggie! :)
